The Stand for What is Right

The world is subconsciously in a frantic state of emergency. Why subconscious? Most people deny that this world is dying. Global warming, poverty, and world wars? Problems are heading toward critical conditions as people are still fighting for their rights to basic provisions necessary for human survival. Why are children rotting in poverty and prices ranging sky high for basic necessities in this world filled with so many resources and an abundant supply of materials enough to suffice humanity’s most basic needs?

In a capitalized world with individuals who would grab all chances they could get to make money; would you take the stand for what is right? Or would you cower behind the safekeeping guards and allow power to take away everything you’ve ever believed for?

Here are a few sayings I want to share with you as the basis for reflection whenever you feel like you are being tested to do things you normally wouldn’t, just because you think it is the right thing to do:

● “That old law about ‘an eye for an eye leaves everybody blind.” -Martin Luther King, Jr.

There is nothing good about revenge. It is the vilest urge ever to consume you with anger. Find peace in your worries and forgive those who did you wrong. You can punish but never forsake.

● “To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.’ -Proverbs 21:3, NIV

Doing the right thing is a choice we often have trouble choosing. It is easy to make bad choices for the ones you love and never regretful when you sacrifice those you do not love. This impacts your ability to be self-enduring and becomes biased toxicity in your environment.

● “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called present.” -Master Oogway, Kung Fu Panda

Finally, there is no time like today. All of us are entitled to a voice so that we may help each other through any obstacles that head our way. They stand for what is right is something all of us can do. Make the change you want to see in the world, be the Solace amid the chaos, and be the person who makes the right decisions.
